Maxie scar ref

Over the years, various malfunctioning inventions as well as just the every-day hazards of life have left quite a few marks on Maxie. Here's a ref of all of them with the stories behind them. *Note that none of the scars are as red as they appear in the ref. I just made them darker so they would be more visible.

A. One day when Maxie was in early high school, his uncle wanted him to spend the summer doing yard work. Maxie, however, decided he'd rather spend his summer holed up in the basement watching movies and building things. So he built a robot to try to do the work for him. It all seemed like a great idea until the machine went rogue, almost chopping Maxie's arm off along the way. It took surgery, a ton of stitches and years of physical therapy before he was able to have full use of his arm and fingers again. Now he's left with a gnarly scar that cuts all the way under the armpit of his right shoulder. This scar is probably the freshest-looking of them all.

B. Being the klutz he is, one day Maxie was working with some hazardous chemicals and somehow managed to spill a pretty large amount on his left thigh. This resulted in a widespread, patchy chemical burn scar. The burn wasn't terrible, so the scarring is a bit faded.

C. Just a simple scar from falling off his bike when he was 7

D. From time to time, Maxie has been known to dabble in pyrotechnics. And the first time he did was the time he learned to always either get as far away as possible or stand behind a blast shield. Unfortunately, Maxie was too close to a blast when it went off, and despite his success in shielding his face, he still got some nasty shrapnel embedded in his back. Yet another trip to the emergency room. None of the wounds were particularly deep, so the scarring is fairly light, but very widespread, pretty much covering the entire left side of his back.

E. Little scars on his knuckles from all the various times he's accidentally nicked them while working.
